Hanging by a Wire

Hanging by a Wire marks EverWonder's first international documentary. Directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Mohammed Ali Naqvi, the film reconstructs the day in August 2023 when a cable car carrying eight passengers, most of them teenagers on their way to school, was left dangling roughly 900 feet above a remote Pakistani valley after its wires snapped, and the desperate, hours-long rescue that unfolded as the world watched. Built from firsthand accounts, drone footage, and reenactments staged with the people who lived it. The film premiered at Sundance and Tribeca in 2026, followed by theatrical releases in major hub cities including Los Angeles, New York, and London, before streaming on Paramount+ on October 28, 2026.
